BBQ Steak House, Sri Petaling

The deal: RM15 for RM30 cash voucher for food and drinks at BBQ Steak House

What we got:

You'll find BBQ Steak House nestled amongst the cluster of establishments collectively dubbed Glass City in Sri Petaling, situated diagonally opposite The Store. The glass-enclosed shop may not be huge, but it's adequate to sit somewhere between 5 - 10 tables (of varying sizes) of customers.

Their menu featured meat such as chicken, fish, beef and lamb cooked in a variety of styles/with different types of sauces. Besides Western fare, BBQ Steak House also offers (rather limited) Asian fare such as fried rice and noodle soup.

BBQ chicken (RM14.80)

Red wine chicken (RM15.80)

We got the BBQ chicken and the red wine chicken--essentially the same grilled chicken chop  + fries + coleslaw, with the only difference between the sauce they came with. Out of the two, we prefer the BBQ sauce; it was an Oriental-inspired, sweet-and-sour-ish version that was different from your usual smoky BBQ sauce. It went better with the dish than the red wine sauce, which lacked a certain oomph. The chicken was done well enough, despite the slightly charred bits.

Even without the use of vouchers, the price was reasonable enough for a basic Western meal.
